Mesaieed Industrial City, Qatar

As earthworks contractor, SRTGCC was responsible for the excavation and removal of approximately 139,000 cubic meters of existing soil material and placement of approximately 120,000 cubic meters of base / sub-base material, concrete work for RTG crane rails, fire protection piping and storm drainage system with drainage structures. Also SRTGCC was responsible approximately 92,490 square meters of surface preparation of the top layer to receive interlock concrete paving blocks

Baghdad, Iraq

SRTGCC provided the execution of Civil Works for the structural work of the double decker concrete bridge crossing the Tigris River in Baghdad. SRTGCC performed work on approximately 30% of the total length of the bridge.

The double decker bridge was in Al-Gaderiyah district of Baghdad and SRTGCC's work was on the eastern side of the Tigris River. The work included the construction of the retaining wall, the construction of cross girders, the construction of the concrete pillow pads, the fixing of the rubber pads over the pillow pads using epoxy, the laying of the main girders the casting of the concrete slabs. The project was a very high technical job which was done in the first time in Iraq.

Turthar, Iraq

SRTGCC was the General Contractor for a 40 km road project for the west of Turthar. The contract consisted of approximately 520,000mē of road surface and included the clearing of the site, the stabilization of the subsoil by compaction, the excavation and filling of soil in layers to a compaction of modified proctor test of 95%. The laying of two layers of sub-base to a compaction of 98%. The laying of stabilizer two courses of 10 cm each and the laying of final coarse of 5 cm asphalt concrete. The work also included the construction of multiple storm drainage culverts and sub-base road shoulders.


This job was done for the benefit of Bechtel Company (USA) and included the extraction, crashing, grading, transporting of approximately 140,000 m3 of Ballast from Najaf Sea to the South Railroad System of Iraq.
