Sami Razzouq Tobchi General Contracting Co. (SRTGCC) was the structural works subcontractor for the construction of for Qatar Petroleum - Epic for Container Terminal Port at Berth 7, Mesaieed, Qatar
SRTGCC was responsible for the construction and management of up to 200 workers during the structural phases of the project. The structural works consisted of a new Terminal Office Building, Substation Building, and Warehouse Building.

The Baghdad Police College (North) project involved the design-build construction of a Iraqi Police Training College for 1000 Iraqi Police Cadets with student barracks, instructor’s barracks, laundry facilities, classroom buildings, DFAC, armory, offices, multi-purpose facility, parade field, football field, backup power generation facilities, and site infrastructure for a complete project.
The project consisted of over twenty-four (24) concrete masonry unit 1 & 2-story building structures. SRTGCC was the Prime Contractor for this project performed all aspects of the project utilizing over 250 local Iraqi workers during peak periods of construction. Substantial completion was achieved in May of 2009 with an aggressive ten (10) month period which included the design and construction phase.

SRTGCC was the partner to a U.S. Contractor for the design/build contract for the construction of (14) fourteen new 33/11Kv Substations located throughout Iraq. In addition to assisting with the design, procurement, and installation of electrical equipment; SRTGCC performed all civil works for the projects to include the preliminary design and turn-key construction of all civil works for each facility.
Each of the (14) fourteen substation sites included the following civil works:
Work was performed for the U.S. Government’s Project and Contracting Office - Electrical Sector (PCO) and Joint Contracting Command – Iraq. Construction supervision was performed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

SRTGCC was the General Contractor for the construction of a large commercial center in the center of Baghdad. Total construction area was approximately (3700.00) m² and contained about (150) stores and shops. The project was in partnership with the Chaldean Catholic Church. Scope of Work included the design, civil work, Mechanical work and Electrical work. The commercial center was a turnkey job which included the excavation down to 3 meters deep, the treatment of the sub soil, dewatering, and the casting of a reinforced steel raft concrete foundation over a layer of blinding (10 centimeter concrete) covered with a damp proof layer. A basement was done under the ground level with reinforced concrete walls and reinforced concrete roof, the basement was then divided into different stores using brick walls and cement plastering. The ground floor was erected with reinforced concrete columns and reinforced concrete roof. The first floor was done the same. All divisions were done by bricks walls with cement plastering. A main distribution electrical boards and telephone boards was done to whole complex and the lighting, air conditioning system for each store. The outside of the building was decorated with special design of sawed old Baghdadi bricks to be in uniformity with the surrounded old area. The inside finishing was terrazzo for floors tiles and painting for walls and ceilings after gypsum plastering water circulation system (toilets) was done for each store with tile walls.
The complete erection of a two story building of an area approximately 6000 m2, the work included the erection of the pre-fabricated columns, girders and ceilings and related concrete works.
SRTGCC performed the Civil Works for the Al-Baghadadi Dam. The work was mainly preparatory work for the different services of the Dam, which included the supply of approximately 50,000 cubic meter of concrete, which was completed and the building of 400 houses using concrete blocks. The work above was terminated because of the Gulf War. A complete concrete block factory was erected for this project.
SRTGCC performed Civil Works on a large scale Iraq government project in Al-Shurkat Mosul. SRTGCC supplied approximately 90,000 m3 of concrete, performed approximately 130,000 m2 of earthwork, supplied and erected approximately 30,000 m2 of concrete blocks and bricks works, and approximately 100000 m2 of cement plastering and painting.
Sami Razzouq Tobchi Contracting Co. (SRTGCC) acted as the Prime Contractor for the following design-build projects in the North of Iraq. The projects involved civil construction of single family houses as well as the design and construction of all site utilities and road network.
